Porganic Landing Page

Porganic is a fictional beverage company aimed at young adults seeking a healthier drink alternative without sacrificing flavor. The goal was to create a landing page to convince potential customers who may be on the fence about trying a new product, to hop off that fence and try it.

Knowing the intended audience, I started by looking at real world examples of beverage companies with similar goals and audiences (Bai, Vitamin Water, LeCroix, Spindrift) and looking for patterns across all the brands. I then looked outside of the beverage industry to a host of other brands that resonate with young adults (Patagonia, Nike, Trader Joes, Netflix) to see if I could discern any other insights.

With the goal of the project being to have users order a sample of the product, I wanted to create something that got straight to the point, and forwent any additional “fluff”. Flavor is something that has traditionally been exceptionally difficult to portray in the digital sphere, so I wanted to bypass that and create as few barriers to entry as possible to get a sample ordered. The front page would highlight only what was absolutely necessary to convince someone to at least order a free sample.

Secondary Research & UX Planning

I wanted to create something strong and simple. After seeing the can design, I instantly knew I wanted to build a design around that. I wanted to keep the focus on the product, and always present the user with a way to take action and try the product.

One of the toughest parts about bringing a new product to market, is giving customers a “why”. Why try this over something you already know? Why spend your money on something that’s unproven?

I wanted the design to reflect the drink. Simple and clean, with nothing you don’t need. I wanted people to trust the product, and be propelled to try it.
